Part of the mission of Enterprise Technology & Services (ET&S) Cybersecurity Services is to ensure appropriate physical and technical security safeguards for the University System of New Hampshire (USNH) data centers and core technology infrastructure.

Over the winter of 2021-2022, Cybersecurity Services helped secure and deploy Crowdstrike Falcon Complete service, a real-time, next-generation anti-malware software application that securely monitors and detects cyber threats on USNH endpoints and servers.

The USNH acquisition of Crowdstrike is in response to the sophisticated and evolving threats leveraged by cybercriminals, including the increased threat of ransomware targeted toward higher education in recent years.

Crowdstrike leverages machine learning, threat intelligence, and real-time process inspection to mitigate cyber threats. ET&S deployed this application on all USNH-owned endpoints and servers and benefits the System by standardizing malware tools across the enterprise, automating quarantine capability to prevent the spread of malicious activity, and reducing operational overhead by providing a 100% cloud-native technology to manage hardware, software, and configuration.
