Single Sign-On (SSO) is a secure, efficient user authentication service that allows users to access multiple applications without having to sign in separately for each application by using the same username and password.
In October 2022, Enterprise Technology & Services (ET&S) moved its legacy SecureAuth SSO service to Microsoft Azure. Azure SSO provides a secure, modernized, cost-effective, cloud-based, and improved user experience. This integrated user authentication service provides simple, secure access to 270 different software applications for all University System of New Hampshire students and employees. As an extra layer of security and to protect sensitive user data, some applications will continue to require users to use multi-factor authentication, e.g., all Banner student and employee applications. ET&S expects to complete this project by September 2023.
