Strategic Communications

This week’s Enterprise Technology & Services (ET&S) Tech Briefing features a new update, a reminder, and Box-to-M365 training information.

Seamless Single Sign-On Project: One Password, One Username, Many Applications

To Know: In September 2022, ET&S initiated the Seamless Single Sign-On Project to enhance the authentication experience across 250+ USNH web applications that use single sign-on (SSO; also known as USNH usernames and passwords).

What this means for students, faculty, and staff:

  • Students, faculty, and staff will be prompted for individual application sign-ins less frequently[AM1]
  • The look and feel of the sign-on p Page for systems or resources may change
  • Some bookmarked or favorited login URLs may need to be replaced with a new login location.

What this means for service owners and system administrators of applications:

  • The project team will reach out directly to you.

Once fully implemented, this transition will provide a seamless user experience across all impacted applications; users only need to sign in once per session to be logged into all migrated applications. The project team will migrate applications in targeted batches throughout the 2022-2023 academic year.

To Do: For more information regarding this project, including a walkthrough of changes, updated login URLs for impacted applications, the upcoming migration schedule, and links to receive support and assistance, please visit the USNH Seamless Single Sign-On Project site.

Reminder: Cybersecurity Month Events Start Next Week
