Strategic Communications

This week’s Enterprise Technology & Services (ET&S) Tech Briefing focuses on important information for back-to-school.

Wireless Projection Using AirMedia

To Know: AirMedia wireless projection devices are available in select campus classrooms. AirMedia allows users with laptops and iOS and Android devices to connect wirelessly to enable video and photo presentations, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, PDF documents, and non-copywritten content from other iOS and Android apps.

To Do: For more information, please review the Using AirMedia: How-to USNH Knowledgebase guide athttps://td.usnh.edu/TDClient/60/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=2067

Reminder: Adobe Licensing Change

To Know: Adobe is changing its licensing for its Creative Cloud products, including but not limited to Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign, and Premiere Pro. To access Creative Cloud, PSU students must now access it from a campus-owned device; students can no longer access the PSU-licensed version of Creative Cloud using VDI (Virtual Desktop Interface) on their computer or in computer labs that utilize VDI.  Faculty and staff can still access Adobe from their device(s).

If you require access to Adobe for your class scheduled in this room(s) you have two options:

  1. Move the class(es) to a location that provides students access to Adobe Creative Cloud. To do so, please contact the Registrar’s Office at 603-535-2345 or email
    psu-registrar@plymouth.edu
  1. If there is no suitable classroom available, contact Enterprise Technology & Services to explore alternate solutions by submitting a request HERE

Reminder - Coming This Fall: Enhanced Security for Microsoft 365 Email
To Know: Over the next six months, Enterprise Technology & Services (ET&S) will roll out
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Microsoft 365 (M365) to all University System of New Hampshire (USNH) students and employees to further enhance security on USNH email accounts. Purdue University began using MFA for Microsoft 365 services in the fall of 2021 and saw its rate of compromised accounts plummet.

ET&S piloted this change with employees in June to collect feedback on the process. In August, we implemented MFA for M365 for all USNH Systems Office employees.

To Do: No user action is required at this time. Please stay tuned for more information.
