You are receiving this message because you have been identified as having one or more institutionally owned devices associated with your username that do not have the latest endpoint management tools to help us keep your information and the information of others secure. These devices need be brought into compliance to improve our cybersecurity posture at the University System of New Hampshire and ensure a safe computing environment for all. Your personal devices will not be impacted.

Any device not in compliance by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, will be placed into quarantine. Once your device is placed in quarantine, your access to institutional resources via that device will be limited to the quarantine remediation site.

You must act by following one of the steps below to bring these devices into compliance. Taking these steps prior to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, will prevent your device from being placed into quarantine, taking these steps after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, will remove the device from quarantine.

  1. Install software to allow Enterprise Technology & Services to manage the device. This will ensure the computer always has the latest protections and security patches. Instructions for installation are here: <URL was removed>

  1. If the device is no longer in use and should be disposed of, please complete the SEED form to notify Enterprise Technology & Services of the disposal need: <URL was removed>

We will also be hosting hands-on clinics in your college upon your return to campus if you would like us to set this up for you.

This effort produces the following benefits for UNH:

  • Creates a safer and secure environment for all students, faculty and staff and protects not just the UNH workplace information but your own private information.
  • Enables our researchers to meet increasing cybersecurity requirements associated with grant opportunities. Enables our teams to proactively apply security patches and policies to your devices, eliminating the need for you to manage these items on your own.
  • Reduces our risk of experiencing a major cybersecurity event.
