In April 2020, Enterprise Technology & Services (ET&S) helped introduce a new electronic procurement and an invoicing system called UShopNH to a group of pilot users.
The University System of New Hampshire (USNH) will eventually roll this system out to all institutions to modernize and improve the purchasing process.
UShopNH provides an easy and efficient method to place orders, review and approve the purchase of goods and services, pay vendors, and implement better business practices.
On the spending side, it provides greater insight, improving budget management while revealing sensible ways to source goods and services based on USNH-wide purchasing data.
By standardizing the procurement process, UShopNH will save USNH money as it leverages its collective purchasing power when negotiating with vendors.
ET&S contributed to this project by working with procurement and finance groups from all USNH campuses to analyze diverse business requirements and develop integrations between USNH Banner Finance and the new Jaggaer application.
This work included the automation of the process for loading user and approval information into Jaggaer, provision of accurate vendor information, and synchronization of the Banner system of record and Jaggaer.
