Enterprise Technology & Services provides support for Salesforce’s TargetX and SMS Magic applications, and in FY20 sent staff to UNH Manchester and UNH Law to provide specialized training for the undergraduate and graduate admissions teams.

The daylong training sessions were designed to increases the teams’ knowledge and comfort levels using Salesforce to communicate with students, helping both campuses manage their business processes. 

Salesforce is a cloud computing service as a software (SaaS) company that focuses on customer relationship management (CRM), helping businesses and institutions connect with their customers.

UNH uses Salesforce to support undergraduate and graduate recruitment and admissions initiatives and to ensure colleges and departments can help students understand the value of attending the university. This work includes activities related to inquiry management, application reviews and decisions, and event registrations. Salesforce provides a platform on which to capture and generate outreach via email campaigns and text messages and provides data for various other communication methods. 

TargetX and SMS Magic are components of Salesforce that help create, schedule and automate email and text messaging campaigns. Both tools allow UNH to provide timely messaging to prospective students, parents, and applicants, minimizing staff effort and time. Salesforce empowers student recruitment and admissions offices to enhance their outreach strategies with their new skills in using these tools.
