In response to COVID-19, the UNH Faculty Senate in April passed a measure permitting undergraduate students to choose a pass/fail option over a letter grade for any spring 2020 class.
According to the faculty senate resolution, the pass/fail option allowed students to "maintain equity in their ability to progress towards their degrees” and provided faculty the flexibility to change their instructional approach.
Enterprise Technology & Services administers and maintains Webcat, the software through which students may view course schedules, register for courses and view their grades. To assist with the pass/fail changes, ET&S updated the software, allowing students to choose the option for any course.
