This week’s Enterprise Technology & Services Tech Briefing contains updates, new information, and a reminder.

Assistance with Audio-Visual Purchases

To Know: ET&S Learning Space Technologies (LST) assists departments in selecting and purchasing audio-visual equipment, such as portable projectors and conference room systems. If you are planning a purchase, please note that many electronic components continue to have a 12-month (or longer) lead time, and FY23 funds may not be available for use.

To Do: To get started, please complete an LST Systems & Design Consultation Service request form: https://td.usnh.edu/TDClient/60/Portal/Requests/ServiceDet?ID=180.

Windows 11 Is Coming Soon

To Know: Windows 11 is now approved for use on all USNH faculty and staff computers. This new version of Windows brings many exciting features and improvements designed to enhance your computing experience.

By July 2023, ET&S will send and push an automated notification to all eligible computers prompting the installation.

To Do: If you would like to install this latest OS before the automated notification, follow these steps:

  1. See if your computer is eligible: Click Start and type Software Center.
  2. If the upgrade is available for your device and you want to proceed, select and install it (this may take 30-45 minutes).
  3.  If you do not see this Upgrade available, your computer does not meet the hardware requirements for Windows 11 as set by Microsoft.

If you require technical support, please submit a ticket.

Appointment Campaigns enable advisors to request that specific students select a specific date and time to schedule an appointment. This contrasts with the advisor creating appointments for each student.  This feature is commonly used when an advisor must meet with all their students at least once per term.

Reminder: myPlymouth Portal Preview

To Know: On Monday, March 6, PSU started a pilot of the new myPlymouth portal, a tailored, one-stop campus resource available for all PSU students, faculty, and staff using a web browser or mobile device. The portal has all the information you need in one place, including key campus resources, account info, upcoming events, important deadlines, and more. We'd love to hear your feedback as we develop the portal for a formal launch this summer. The existing portal will remain in place until summer.

To Do: To view the pilot portal, go to https://my.USNH.edu. From there, please browse the various content areas and provide your feedback through the form on the portal. Please remember that we will continue to improve the portal over the next few months, and your feedback will help tremendously. Thanks for your time and consideration in helping us improve myPlymouth.
