The University System of New Hampshire fosters an inclusive environment and encourages It is important self-expression. In June 2022, Enterprise Technology & Services completed a project that allows Granite State College (GSC) and Plymouth State University (PSU) students to provide their respective institutions with their preferred first names.
With the completion of this project, GSC and PSU students can now provide their preferred first names via the Banner Self-Service application. This data can then be pushed to other systems so that advisors and staff can address students by their name of choice.
ET&S accomplished this by modifying Banner 8 Self-Service for GSC, and Banner 9 Self-Service for PSU. When GSC and PSU systems merge with the University of New Hampshire, ET&S will leverage Banner 9 Self-Service to accomplish this task.
