New Zoom Features Now Available 
To Know: Zoom released some great new features that make it easier to use, such as: 

  • Saving breakout room participant assignments in recurring meetings for future use 
  • Ability to share audio to breakout rooms
  • Offering a picture in picture mode for mobile device participants
  • Displaying the meeting invitee list in the host's participants panel for simplified attendance tracking

Zoombombing Reminder 
To Know: Zoombombing remains an active technique to interrupt and disrupt meetings and classes. Faculty and staff should be aware of the danger and take steps to prevent it from happening to you.

Chrome & Edge Security Risk
To Know: Google and Microsoft issued warnings regarding a new security risk that impacts the Chrome and Edge (Chromium-based) browsers. Confirming your browser is up to date on all devices will protect you and your data.

To Do: Update your browser. Here’s how:
Chrome:

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More.
  3. Click Help, About Google Chrome.
  4. Click Update Google Chrome. Important: If you can't find this button, you're on the latest version.
  5. Click Relaunch.

You can also turn on automatic updates:
Go to "About Google Chrome," and click Automatically update Chrome for all users
Edge:

  1. In your Microsoft Edge browser, click on the 3 dots (...) on the very right-hand side of the window
  2. Click on 'Help and Feedback'
  3. Click on 'About Microsoft Edge.'

FITSI Deadline Extended to April 22
To Know: ET&S will host the 21st annual Faculty Instructional Technology Summer Institute (FITSI) on Tuesday, June 7, through Thursday, June 9and is open to UNH faculty. Accepted participants will receive a Technology Enhancement Award of $500 to facilitate the purchase of technology or professional development to aid in your teaching or course revisions. Applications are open to faculty, instructors, and graduate students. We cannot accept adjunct instructors at this time. Our keynotes will be open to the public. The deadline for applications is now April 22, 2022

Updates to EAB Navigate Appointment Campaign User Interface
To Know:  EAB Navigate updated its campaign user interface, which is available today (Thursday, March 31, 2022). Here is a rundown of its updates:

  • Campaigns Tab Landing Page - The Campaigns tab looks different, and statistics no longer show on the page. Instead, users need to click the Campaign type to see the list of that type of Campaign and any statistics that show on the page.
  • Appointment Campaigns - Users can now create nudges for appointment campaigns. It replaces the original “Compose a Message” functionality and allows for more communication from your school to students needing to schedule appointments during a campaign. 
  • Define Campaigns Page - This page and others look different. Several fields were moved to this page and one field was added.
