The Enterprise Technology Data Center, owned and operated by the University System of New Hampshire, is housed on the outer edge of the University of New Hampshire campus in Durham NH. The facility includes a 2600 square foot energy-efficient data center that offers virtual machine technology, enterprise-class storage, and networking in support of the University System of New Hampshire enterprise and partners across New Hampshire. The data center was recently renovated to improve security, upgrade redundant backup power generation and battery systems, provide in-line cooling with hot and cold power zones, and upgrade intrusion, heat, smoke and flood detection systems.
The data center supports a variety of systems including high-density blade servers running over 1000 virtual machines with a variety of operating systems, 500 Terabytes of network/SAN-attached storage and over 1000 network cross connects. Enterprise Technology has a staff of IT professionals specializing in systems and network administration, security, database administration and software engineering.
