When the ET&S Salesforce team was approached by the UNH Sustainability team to transform their client database to a Salesforce solution the Salesforce team quickly recommended engaging the Enterprise Lean team. The objective of this initial partnership was to ensure that the UNH Sustainability team understood their current landscape and was clear when developing their business requirements prior to their engagement with the Salesforce team.

UNH Sustainability is a collective commitment to human dignity for all people and ecological integrity in all places is built upon an inter-generational, ethical obligation that holds social justice, collaboration, and inclusive prosperity to be essential to fulfill diverse human potential and preserve the health of the planet upon which we all depend. This manifests as an ethic that compels us to respond to urgent, complex challenges with trans-disciplinary approaches that involve diverse partners, on campus and beyond.

The engagement of the Enterprise Lean team not only fosters collaboration among teams it prepares a team as they undertake a change initiative through a proven approach.  Engaging the Enterprise Lean team facilitated having the team work together to document their current landscape, devise solutions to enhance the new offering, and provide skills and knowledge to team members that they can utilize on an ongoing basis.  Additionally, in this scenario by doing all the upfront work the goal is to shorten the implementation lead time as the team enters the engagement with solid, documented business requirements.

The UNH Sustainability team was energetic, eager to learn, and applied Lean methodology while having fun utilizing the online collaboration tool Miro.

It is such an honor for the Enterprise Lean team to collaborate with true professionals who are making a difference!
