The UNH library had an opportunity to bring clear expectations to the lifecycle of adjunct hires.  Heather Castle recognized the need and volunteered to facilitate the team. She took the opportunity in January when students were on break to bring the team together in person for a few full day working sessions.

At the conclusion, the team presented their recommendations for change to leadership which is expected to simplify a complex process resulting in:

  • Efficiency
  • Transparency
  • Organization
  • Comprehensive documentation
  • Centralization where possible
  • Anchoring this work in our organizational structure
  • Improve the applicant experience, to support the University’s mission
  • Integration with campus partners, to support the University’s mission
  • Expanded utilization of existing technology
