A part of the University System family, NHPTV has been a state-wide community resource for education, cultural enrichment and citizenship since 1959. NHPTV has a unique broadcast schedule that offers the best of PBS, specially acquired programs and original productions to over 500,000 families each week. NHPTV also has a rich history of regularly scheduled and popular local productions such as NH Outlook, Granite State Challenge, New Hampshire Crossroads, and Wildlife Journal.

NHPTV's Knowledge Network provides 850 hours of instructional programs for 220,000 students from kindergarten through high school and provides professional development programs and advanced technology training for parents, educators and child-care providers. In addition, NHPTV Distance Learning service provides a dynamic distance education program that delivers college-credit courses to adults who require more flexibility than on-campus courses.
